After working in project management for 10 years Joe, in 1995, established Novella Development, to independently pursue his career in residential housing development and commercial construction. Annual revenues in 1998 exceeded $5MM.
In 1999, Novella Development became the Connecticut Division of Ginsburg Development, GDC, New York State’s largest residential developer located in Hawthorne, NY. During his five year contract as Division President, Joe grew his group to be largest and most industry awarded multi-family developer in the region. 2004 operations exceeded $43MM.
After leaving GDC, Joe continued his residential development work for several years. Joe has extensive experience in residential land acquisition and planning, community development, construction management, sales and marketing.
In 2007 Joe, with John Mazur, established Green Star Energy Solutions a building performance consulting and contracting company established to make homes and buildings energy efficient, safe, and comfortable. His credentials include the BPI (Building Performance Institute) Professional Building Analyst, Home Tune Up certified Energy Auditor, and HERS Rater.
Green Star has grown to be the region’s largest building performance contracting firms employing 35 people. Green Star is a Home Energy Solutions provider for the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, a Home Performance with Energy Star provider in New York, and performs a comprehensive range of energy evaluations and contracting services.
Joe was born in Danbury, CT in 1963, and holds a BA in Economics from Fairfield University, CT (1985). He currently resides in Danbury, CT with his wife Michele and three children.
